A Song in the Key Of

baby, I’ve been to your house more times
than you

the drunk of your brother by the river
the heat of your sister’s coffee

my face leaves imprints on the
soft of your down

a skeleton that only opens the back door
a memory note stuffed into a tree hollow

someone stands below your window

a serenade
a brick through glass
a tangle of sheets

i wrap my hair in knots
i open my mouth

Back of the Envelope

Words written in sunshine and rain.
Ears On Once, the soundtrack.
Time Taken three-ish minutes.
Brain On fucked if I know. Sometimes it doesn’t tell me what it’s thinking.
