Wired for Sound

1. The View from Here
is different when you’re in it.

2. They say you don’t remember
what you’ve got until it’s gone.

3. Or is that until it comes back?

4. Someone once told me
they’d love me forever.

5. I’d never pulled the wings
off anything before you.

6. I had no idea how easy it was,
how soft the sound of feathers
ripping blood from home.
